Patrick Gormley '85 Returns to Saratoga Central Catholic as New Art Teacher and Girls Golf Coach


The leadership team of Saratoga Central Catholic School is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Gormley '85 as our new Art Teacher and Girls Golf Coach.


Patrick brings a robust educational background, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a Minor in Fine Art from SUNY Cortland, a Master of Science in Education from Canisius College, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh.


Patrick’s career spans over two decades, including 25 years as a tenured teacher at Queensbury High School, along with positions at Averill Park and Williamsville South High Schools. He also served as Principal of St. Mary’s-St. Alphonsus School during the last academic year. Patrick holds permanent New York State Teaching Certifications in both Art K-12 and English 6-12, alongside extensive coaching experience in football, lacrosse, and basketball. His background as a freelance writer and illustrator further enriches his expertise.


An alumnus of SCC’s Class of 1985, Patrick is excited to return to his alma mater and teach full-time art instruction. He will also serve as the Girls Golf Coach.
