     Saratoga Central Catholic School, continuing in the tradition of St. Peter’s Academy, is a Catholic, coeducational, Albany Diocesan school located in Saratoga Springs, New York, educating students in grades 6 through 12. St. Peter’s Academy was founded in 1862 and became Saratoga Central Catholic in 1977.

     Saratoga Central Catholic School offers a vigorous college preparatory program for every student. All students graduate with a New York State Regents Diploma. Students can also obtain an Advanced Regents Diploma, Regents with Honors, Advanced Regents with Honors or an Advanced Regents with Math and/or Science Designation.

Throughout high school, students are required to take core courses that include English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Theology. Each student must also complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service every year.

If they choose, Saratoga Central Catholic students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement (AP) and college courses as well. AP courses currently available are World History, US History, English Literature, Biology, Physics 1, Calculus, Economics and Comparative Government. Saratoga Central Catholic also partners with Hudson Valley Community College allowing high school students to take a variety of online college courses.

Grading and Class Rank

     Official class ranking is determined in late summer before the start of senior year and is based on a 100 point scale.

Fall: Girls and Boys Cross Country, Girls and Boys JV/Varsity Soccer, Girls and Boys Varsity Golf and Girls Modified/JV/Varsity Volleyball

Winter: Girls and Boys Modified/JV/Varsity Basketball, Girls and Boys JV/Varsity Bowling and Girls JV/Varsity Cheerleading

Spring: Girls Modified/JV/Varsity Softball, Boys Modified/JV/Varsity Baseball and Girls and Boys JV/Varsity Track and Field

NYSPHSAA School of Distinction Award: 2010-11, 2011-12, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17

This award recognizes New York State High Schools with student athletes who excel in the classroom, resulting in an average GPA for all Varsity sports teams (Fall, Winter and Spring) of 90% or higher.
