SCC will remain closed for the remainder of the school year

May 1, 2020

Dear Parents,

As many of you already know, the Governor has extended the closure of NY schools until the end of the school year in June. As a result, Saratoga Central Catholic and the other schools of the Diocese of Albany will be closed for the remainder of the school year. This closure will result in the cancellation of many activities related to the conclusion of a school year. When possible, we will plan ways to maintain some of these important milestones in our students’ lives in a manner that will be safe under our current circumstances. The high school principals and the Albany Diocesan School office have already shared ideas of how we may proceed with high school graduation. I will provide more information as we develop plans.

Online instruction will continue until the end of our school year. We have completed two weeks of distance learning since we revised our instructional plan. I have received generally a very positive response regarding the changes we have made in our program. I am thankful to the teachers and the students for their efforts to continue the learning process under these unusual conditions. I am grateful to our parents who do so much to support and encourage our students in the process of remote learning. It is very important that all students work as hard as they can to learn the content required to be successful during the next school year.

We face many challenges right now, but I am confident that by working together we will meet those challenges! I will be in touch with all of you soon.

Sincerely,

Michael Kondratowicz
Interim Principal
