Pink Day 2019

On Friday, October 18, 2019 the Saratoga Central Catholic Volleyball program sponsored their 11th Annual Saints Spike Out Cancer Match and Fundraiser. They took time to pause between the JV and Varsity matches and recognized survivors and those presently fighting breast cancer.
In preparation for the event, the SCC Volleyball team hosted a “Pink” dress down day, bake sales, and the sale of breast cancer awareness items. Pink ribbons were purchased and hung in the gym in honor of breast cancer survivors, those presently fighting and those who have lost their battle.
This year, we started a “Sisters Collaboration” with our sister elementary schools: St. Mary’s School in Ballston Spa and St. Clements School in Saratoga Springs. Each Sister school created a “Pink Ribbon” photo and raised money.
All proceeds were donated to the Mollie Wilmot Radiology Oncology Department at Saratoga Hospital.  This money will directly help patients with rides to treatment, wigs and scarfs.
Saratoga Catholic raised $1603.35, St. Clement’s $700 and St. Mary’s $550 for a total donation of $2,853.35!!

Principals and Students from SCC, St. Mary’s and St. Clement’s presented a check to members of The Saratoga Hospital Board of Directors, nurses, physicians and the Director of The Mollie Wilmot Center.
