Information about the SCC Choirs

SCC Chorus

Our SCC Chorus is open to all grades, 6-12.  We will meet after school each week on Thursdays, beginning September 15th.  A schedule will be provided as to times and dates of rehearsals and performances.  This year so far we will be performing:

with “The Electric City Horns” at our annual Performing Arts Benefit, November 4ththe Victorian Streetwalk “Living Nativity,” our Christmas “Potluck” Concert on December 7th, performing the National Anthem at the Albany Devils Game, and our final concert in late May.

SCC Mass Choir

This choir is open to all grades, 6-12 and they perform for all the school monthly masses, special masses, and Baccalaureate Mass.  Students will meet in church 15 minutes before the mass to rehearse.  We will also have 2 after school rehearsals throughout the year to learn new music.  Students will receive 1 hour of community service for each mass they perform at.

September 20th – 2:30 – 3:30pm will be one of the rehearsals.

Musical Theatre Dance Classes

Instructor: Kate DuBois

This Fall, SCC Drama Program will be offering 10 weeks of musical theatre dance classes.  Kate DuBois, our very own choreographer will be teaching dance steps and moves from Broadway and styles of the 30s-90s.  She will teach the steps used in our shows and much more!

Dance classes will meet:

Mondays – 2:30-4pm

St. Peter’s Parish Center

September 19 – December 5th

(There will be a performance at the end of the 10 weeks)

Classes will not meet on 10/10 and 10/31

Class attire:

Yoga pants, leggings, sweat pants, gym shorts, light shirts or t-shirts (no jeans)

jazz shoes, ballet shoes, sneakers Do not wear school uniforms!
