Information about the SCC Choirs

SCC Chorus

Our SCC Chorus is open to all grades, 6-12.  We will meet after school each week on Thursdays, beginning September 14.  A schedule will be provided as to times and dates of rehearsals and performances. 

Students involved in sports after school will be allowed to attend the Thursday rehearsals if it is a practice.  They will be excused from chorus on game nights.

This year so far we will be performing:

  • Oct. 29 – SSREF
  • Nov. 3 – SCC Players, “An Evening of Chance” with the Electric City Horns
  • Nov. 30  – Victorian Streetwalk “Living Nativity”
  • SCC Band and Vocal Christmas Concert – TBA
  • The final Band and Vocal Concert – in late May

SCC Mass Choir

This choir is open to all grades, 6-12 and they perform for all the school monthly masses, special masses, and Baccalaureate Mass.  Students will meet in church 15 minutes before the mass to rehearse.  We will also have 2 after school rehearsals throughout the year to learn new music.  Students will receive 1 hour of community service for each mass they perform at.

September 26th – 2:25 – 3:15pm will be one of the rehearsals.

“Done to Death” (a Mystery Comedy by Fred Carmichael)

Auditions in Room G-19

(Show Dates: November 16,17,18,19)

It is not necessary to attend both audition dates.  If you can not attend any of the dates, please see me, ASAP!!!

There is a character list and synopsis posted outside of Room G-19.  Check to see the character or characters you would like to audition for.  A script will be provided for you to read ahead.  Please bring these to the audition.

Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, Sept. 20th

4-7:00pm (Read through & measurements)

The rehearsal period is only 7 ½  weeks.  A rehearsal schedule is ready to be picked up.  Please ask me for the schedule to check your conflicts!
